Jessy Ardern Playwright

Jessy Ardern is an actor, a playwright, and an artistic co-producer with Impossible Mongoose. Her writing has been seen onstage in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Toronto, and Edmonton; her collaborations with Corben include 2015’s Sterling Nominated Harold and Vivian Entertain Guests and the upcoming drama Prophecy at the Edmonton Fringe. This past spring Jessy graduated from the U of A’s BFA acting program, where she appeared as Clytemnestra in Iphigenia at Aulis and as Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has most recently been seen onstage as Procne in If We Were Birds at the Bleviss Laboratory Theatre; you can see her back there in Copenhagen this April. Thanks to everyone who’s come out to support this weird and wonderful world we’ve created. Special thanks to Ariel Levine, who helped with a case of writer’s block and contributed all of the olive oil jokes.


Corben Kushneryk Director and Set & Prop Design

Corben is an Artistic Co-Producer of Impossible Mongoose and is delighted to be working with Blarney on this inaugural collaboration. Corben has been known to wear a number of theatrical hats, having directed, produced, stage managed and performed in a number of productions around Alberta. Some favourite directing credits: ProphecyHarold and Vivian Entertain GuestsCoraline: The Musical35MM: A Musical Exhibition (Impossible Mongoose) and Never, Never (Promise Productions). Some favourite performing credits: The Bully Project (Concrete Theatre), 10 out of 12 (Wild Side Productions), The Kaufman KabaretA Midsummer Night’s DreamBeyond Therapy (Studio Theatre), The Best Little Newfoundland Christmas Pageant Ever (Whizgiggling Productions) and a number of creations with Toy Guns Dance Theatre. He holds a BFA (Acting) from the University of Alberta and is also a proud graduate of MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts Program.


Kristen Padayas Producer

Kristen is an Artistic Co-Producer of Impossible Mongoose. She is from Edmonton, Alberta and is a graduate of Grant MacEwan College’s Theatre Arts Program and a recent graduate of the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting Program. Kristen was recently nominated for an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes award for Outstanding Achievement in Theatre for Young Audiences for her work in the Sterling award winning production of ‘Under Cover’ produced by Concrete Theatre.


Sarah Feutl The Furies

Sarah Feutl is an Edmonton-based actor and dancer, and a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program. She most recently appeared in the Chinook Festival as a member of The Lobbyists, a site-specific dance crew. Sarah is delighted to be working with Blarney Productions again, having last performed with Blarney in the summer of 2016 in Never Swim Alone. She is equally pleased to have been a part of The Fall of the House of Atreus from its humble beginnings to this, its third incarnation. This one’s for you, Rattlin’ Bones.


Graham Mothersill The Furies

Graham Mothersill is an Albertan actor and singer. Originally from Calgary, he is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program, and now splits his time between Edmonton and Calgary. Credits include: The Curing Room (Theatre Outré & Theatre BSMT); Fortune Falls (Catalyst Theatre & Alberta Theatre Projects); Good With People (Trunk Theatre); Tom at the Farm, Salome, Gabriel (Bleviss Laboratory Theatre); The Crucible (Theatre Calgary); The Tempest (Shakespeare by the Bow); The Best Little Newfoundland Christmas Pageant Ever (Whizgiggling Productions); How to Leave (Theatre Outré). Morgan Grau The Furies

Morgan Grau is a recent graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting Program. Recent acting credits include Helmut in Peter Fechter by Jordan Tannahill  (Cardiac Theatre, Jan. ’17), and the eponymous role in Hamlet (MFA Directing Project, University of Alberta, Oct. ’16). Morgan is also a writer, with his play Box recently finishing two productions in Vancouver, and beginning a new production at Victoria School for the Arts here in Edmonton. Upcoming: Morgan will appear as Heisenberg in Copenhagen by Michael Frayn (MFA Directing Project, U of A) in the Bleviss Laboratory Theatre, April 8/9th.


Kasia Brytan Stage Manager and Sound and Light Design

Kasia is a recent graduate of the stage management program at the University of Alberta. Throughout her time at UAlberta, she has been fortunate enough to work with Chris Bullough, Brian Deedrick and Gleda Stirling in Salome (2014), The Threepenny Opera (2015), and Beyond Therapy (2015) respectively. Since graduation, Kasia has worked on Dancefest at NXTFST, SVIATO 25: A Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Declaration of Independence in Churchill Square, and two productions with En Corps Dance Collective down in Calgary, to name a few. Currently, she is in rehearsals for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with Elope Musical Theatre, with performances in May in the Westbury Theatre. Outside of the theatre scene, Kasia dances with the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company, is currently producing and casting the local feature-film John, 316, is representing Canada at an international beauty pageant this fall in the Dominican Republic, and is the Volunteer & Events Coordinator at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton. One thing is for sure, she will never run out of things to do!
